Who can attend TNVA?

Tennessee Virtual Academy serves full-time students in grades K–9 (enrolling through grade 8) who are residents of the state of Tennessee.

How many of my children can I enroll in Tennessee Virtual Academy?

Because Tennessee Virtual Academy provides all the lesson plans and materials needed for kindergarten through grade 9, many parents find it easy to enroll multiple children in the program.

Can I take a vacation during the school year?

The school calendar includes school holidays and vacation time. You will not have access to your assigned teacher(s) during this time, but you can continue to do school work. Whenever possible, family vacations should align with school vacation days. Parents are encouraged to contact their teacher if they plan a vacation that does not coordinate with the school calendar.

What is an acceptable document to prove my child’s age?

You can provide one of the following documents to verify your child’s age: a birth certificate; a certificate from a hospital, doctor, or religious institution showing the date of birth; an adoption record; a parent’s affidavit; or school records that have already been verified.

Can I get enrollment documents in a language other than English?
